A new hotel buffet makes its debut. This is The Pantry at Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati. And let me tell you, it is pretty! The right side of Dusit’s lobby has been transformed into a very chichi buffet scene. What once was becoming a dreary sitting area of dead space has been turned into into a lovely location for family, business and date time dining. I like how the stations are well thought of and placed.
The colours and seating layout all make for a relaxing vibe. For a while, I actually felt like I was in another country. I loved the novelty of seeing whole pigs roasting through glass windows and that the main dining opens up to a lanai area by the hotels pool side. I need to go back to try all the buffet has to offer because I worked more than ate on opening day. I had a bite of the mini pizzas, some pasta and churros, which were all a happy comfort. Next visit would be me getting to business and savouring each station, hopefully. It is the perfect, happy location for weekend brunches with the family.

So happy to know that there is a new place to go to for buffet lunch/dinner for family and friends. The usual “suspects” need updating already and this place looks like a breath of fresh air. I have noticed the updates being done in this hotel and I’m glad that they finally opened The Pantry. The Dusit Hotel has been consistent in quality dining particularly their Thai and Japanese restaurants. Thank you for posting The Pantry, it will be a new place to dine with my family.
