ALTA is the hotel buffet and restaurant at The ASCOTT at BGC. We were invited by Margarita Fores to have a tasting of her menu as she heads the serviced apartments food and beverage department. Our little party of four consisted of my sister in law, Joy, our fabulous dentist and friend, Cecile Infantado and my (soon to be) brother in law, Bong Sta. Maria. We started off with some bubbly and girl talk while waiting for Bong. Margarita sent over our LUSSO favourite, BISOL CREDE Valdobbiadene Prosecco.
Our sausages came with roasted shallots, potato salad, grainy mustard and crusty bread. I love potato salad in all forms so last nights was special for me because organic, baby marbled potatoes were used.
After our pasta, our mains came and we capped it off with a bang of a dessert platter.
Alta is open everyday, from breakfast to dinner. Know that when here, you are in good hands being served quality food and ingredients since Margarita oversees this new baby of hers.
Our night ended a bit late as we enjoyed our good food and company. The staff took extra care of us and were more than gracious.
