I was priviledged to have been invited to the launch of Procter & Gamble’s Ariel detergent 1-wash, Ariel loves chocolate campaign. This “Ariel loves chocolate” tag line says it all. We all know that one of laundry’s worst enemies is chocolate. But today, Ariel proved otherwise, as guests were given a live demonstration in a very unexpected manner. A very pristine, white, cloth napkin was dunked into melted chocolate, soiling the napkin heavily and staining it in the process. It was held up high for everyone to see, then soaked and washed in the new Ariel technology. This is called Ariel’s 1-wash clean. “An upgraded system that further enhanced its tough stain removal ability” says Procter & Gamble Brand Manager for Fabric Care- Philippines, Mukta Maheshwari. After a few minutes, the napkin returned clean and back to its original pristine state. Amazing.
In partnership with Ariel, the kind and gracious host, top chef Florabel Co-Yatco was challenged to create a chocolate 4-course meal for us. A challenge she aced and breezed through. Everything was delicious. From beginning to end. I’ll admit, I was a little bit skeptical to have a taste of a full on chocolate meal. Thinking I would leave the place hungry because I didn’t know how I felt about chocolate on my food instead of just dessert. But as I said, aced it, she did. Chef Florabel came up with delicious, chocolate infused meals. The mix of subtle hints and flavours of chocolate on her dishes were very appealing and not overpowering. Kudos to you, Chef Florabel!
Ariel’s latest upgrade features improved sudsing action, stain removal performance and a fresh clean scent all at an affordable price of Php7.50 SRP per sachet. My sister in law who does her own laundry was impressed. She went home that day, did a load of laundry using Ariel and said, “my clothes were whiter and had a better combination with my downy fabric softener. I made babad (soaked) for 30 minutes, then went on to regular machine cycle. It’s better than my other brand and mabango pa (smells good)”.
Thank you P&G, Mons Romulo and Chef Florabel, for the wonderful giveaways. It was a beautiful day and an equally beautiful launch for Ariel at Chef Florabel’s new restaurant at Capitol Commons, Pasig City. Ariel detergent is available in all leading grocery stores.
