I do adore all things French, the latest being Mireio French Brasserie at the Raffles Hotel, Makati. I loved the typical shuttered, white, quirky and clean interiors at first sight. Floor to ceiling windows give you unobstructed views of the city. And, a collection of commissioned artwork from Philippine artists are exhibited throughout including an impressive modern painting depicting the story of Mireio.
Opening on Monday, December 12, get ready to feast on Chef de Cuisine, Nicolas Cegretin’s creations. Because French food is generally rich, Chef Nicolas pairs some light salads to go with his meals, balancing it out for the Filipino palate. He works with a lot of local fresh produce as well. And has developed light tartar’s and chilled vegetable soup to make your dining experience pleasant and whole.
