Paper Moon, Tokyo is here! Viva Film’s big boss, Vic del Rosario has partnered with Madam Emy Wada in bringing Paper Moon in Manila via Viva International Food and Restaurants, Inc. Which is the food subsidiary of the Viva group of Companies.
Emy Wada is touted as Tokyo’s Grand Dame of Specialty Cakes. She has been in the business for forty years and continues to hone her craft bringing you only the highest quality cakes and pastries. She has been featured in CNN, The New York Times and countless times on famous food review spots for her signature cakes.
Paper Moon also has chiffon cakes in marble and spiced variants, chiffon cupcakes, cream puffs, strawberry shortcake and macarons. And that’s not all. I was pleasantly surprised to know that aside from its quiches, they have savouries as well, making this a full on cafe. One can drop by for a quick or leisurely brunch, lunch or early dinner. Savouries include sandwiches, like the Croque Monsieur (a french favourite of warm grilled ham and cheese topped with gruyere and béchamel sauce), Ham and Cheese Baguette (classic ham and emmenthal in buttered french baguette toasted upon request), Rillette (traditional pork spread with french baby pickles). Salads are also on the menu. Ceasar (romaine, homemade caesar dressing, shaved cheese, bacon and house croutons) and Nicoise (a salad of tuna, hardboiled egg, french beans, potato, black and green olives and a homemade french vinaigrette). An assortment of beverages ranging from cool and refreshing to warm and comforting are available too.
Paper Moon has branches both in Glorietta 3 and TriNoma.
