I met Roxanne (Rox, as we call her) last year and we became friends instantly. This inspiring young lady runs a business, manages her store, exercises, cooks really well and prays–a lot. She is single too! I always tell people that the man she eventually marries is going to be one lucky lad. Her calm is infectious and being around her is always a blessed encounter. Her deep faith and passion she has for all she does is as wonderful as the food she cooked for us as we dined at her wine cellar, Artisan Cellar Door. She invited us for an evening of wagyu, which she cooked in different ways. They carry the wagyu brand Blackmore from Australia and supply to many establishments. You can also purchase choice cuts at Artisan Cellar Door.
Meet Roxanne of Artisan Cellar Door

meet rox

what started our with a healthy and simple salad…

and beef tataki on a bed of onion gravy

was followed by a healthy cooking method of steamed thinly sliced wagyu beef to be dipped in some roasted sesame sauce…

then came these deadly wagyu burgers, cooked to perfection, seasoned only with salt, pepper and caramelised onions…

i made mine deadlier by adding a splash of this premium quality olive oil and crumbled blue cheese

then ended up with deadliest of them all, grilled ribeye over garlic fried rice. some sliced olives were a nice touch…

dessert was this creamy matcha cheesecake (not baked by rox but quite good)

my dessert though was still this jindi blue cheese that was highly addicting paired with some sauterne dessert wine. beautiful combination
Thank you, Rox for taking the time out for us. For those of you who want to try Rox’s cooking, she does ala carte on demand. You may call Artisan Cellar Door to reserve and she can tailor make a menu just for you and your occasions. They have a private function room for more personal and intimate get togethers.
