There are those evenings when you just want an alternative to your traditional or regular dinners, right? Well, it happens to us once in a while. Specially on nights when the kids are out or it is just the daughter and I. It is always a hit with the hubby or a visiting friend. So when you find yourself wanting to have a different dinner scene, tapas for two is always a joy. Just a few simple favourites can make for a special meal.
MENU
- Platter of Jamon, smoked salmon and dill sauce, gorgonzola cheese and rye crisps
- Fish Ceviche (spanish style kilawin)
- Potato Balls with Garam Masala dip
- Bubbly or Wine of Choice
SETTING
- We prefer the outdoors and like it al fresco, the “ber” months are a nice and cool time for this.
- A casual wine bucket with your drink of choice (not necessarily alcoholic)
- My table ware simply consists of two cocktail plates and a cocktail fork, a vessel for your drink of choice and a water glass
Easy Peasy!

Jamon of choice was a simple serrano, norwegian smoked salmon, creamy cambozola cheese (camembert and gorgonzola), rye bread, all from Santi’s

wine buckets can have an assortment of juices and sparkly water or bottled infusions. whatever you fancy

putting all dry ingredients together in a platter is an easy and quick way to set up your mealtime. assemble your meats, fish and cheese and add some toasted rye crisps
These are some of my favourites for an al fresco tapas for two. But feel free to make one tailor made to your preferred chow. Watch out for my next post on these ceviche and potato ball recipes. Eat well.
