Finally, The Artisan Cellar Door is open! I am proud to say I have known about the opening of this place since it was newly conceptualized. I had barely met Roxanne Lee and her brother Rey when they casually mentioned what their new establishment would entail. Rox (as we call her) and I became good friends soon after and I am proud to say that I have seen this place slowly blossom into what it is today. Their wine offerings are extensive, from a wide selection of grand cru’s to mildly priced quality wine. Her champagne collection is just as wide. This enterprising duo also supply high quality meat and wine to top hotels and restaurants in the country. I wish these siblings more blessings and endless endeavours because they are truly deserving of all they sow. I happen to attend the same bible study with Rox and have come to know how kind and honest a person she is. Rox and Rey are not only devoted to family and the work they do but to food and drink too! What a winning combination in my book. Ha ha.
Some of the meat brands they carry are available in the deli section. You may choose a cut and have it grilled. They also carry Niman Ranch bacon. Bacon without nitrates that is uncured. More deli items will be available as their stocks come in, so there is always something new to look forward to when you visit. Rox is being really organic about the way she is opening her shop up, which leads me to believe that this is how quality will be ensured. Much like the saying, slowly but surely. Bear in mind that my photos do not give you a clear picture of all she will have. I have been visiting in its early stages, pre-opening. Rox says she will be offering meals for groups of people who want to come and have wine with their food. She can custom cater based on customer requests. She has a sous vide machine too, so if you want slow cooked specialties, do call a day ahead.
The Artisan Cellar Door is located at Narra Building, 2276 Pasong Tamo Extension, Makati City.
