A many degustation’s I’ve attended but none can compare to Wagyu BGC’s batting average of how many good dishes there were on theirs. Based on experience, I only end these kinds of meals with liking two, three or four (at the most) dishes on the degustation. But at Wagyu, all, and I mean ALL dishes were just special, well thought of and obviously done under the meticulous eye of a chef. I have been to Wagyu a few times before and have enjoyed a limited number of dishes in the past but none as much as this evening. Their cold okra salad and a few strips of premium beef for searing or the occasional sukiyaki were what I was limited to in the past, so how happy I was to learn about what they have now evolved into. And I kid you not, EVERYTHING was delicious.
With fish, tempura, soups, salads and dessert on the menu, you’re sure to have cravings for Wagyu BGC’s new menu. Kudos to the owners who want to keep things as authentic and as purist as possible (save for some twists) and Chef Go-Okura, this place is one to reckon with.
