This is post number 1 of 3, from my most recent trip to Thailand.

Bo.lan Thai restaurant came highly recommended.  They are rated #37 in Asia.  Their food is delicious and what I like most about this place is that they respect the environment and are staunch on their practice of lessening their environmental impact.  They aim to be a zero-carbon restaurant by 2018.  They advocate the use of bio-diversified produce and this is seen in their ever changing menu.  I will tell you more about this place as you read on and enjoy the photos as you do so…

We were a big group for our once-in-a-while-cousins-trip and we were advised that since there were eleven of us, we could only be accommodated for their tasting menu.  We happily obliged and went for their 4-main course tasting instead of their 7-main course as we wanted to really enjoy the experience and not be overstuffed.  We also decided on the 4-course because we were at The Paragon mall eating to our hearts content during the afternoon and barely had enough time to digest.  So to enjoy the Bo.lan experience, we went for the 4….   And enjoy we did!

Bo.lan’s belief is that the best Thai restaurants should be found in Thailand.  They also believe in working closely with local farmers and that they have a responsibility to the local community.  All their ingredients are organic.  Their menu changes quarterly based on what is available fresh in their local markets and what local farmers have.
